These Lemania single pusher chronographs were issued to the Pilots of the RAF and The Fleet Air Arm which is the N\u003c\/span\u003eaval Aviation arm of the Royal Navy\u003cspan\u003e and were produced for around 20 years, from the 50s to the early 70s, and in low quantities, they are now much sought after.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThey are generally separated into 3 series by Collectors depending on the Cases: \u003cstrong\u003eSeries 1\u003c\/strong\u003e (Outer Ring Notches on Caseback), Series 2 (Inner Notches on Caseback) and Series 3 (Asymmetrical Case). \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Today's example is a Series 1 that has been issued to the Royal Navy, the Series 1 was issued between 1945-1950 and were fitted with two variations of Radium Dials, the earliest being sterile (like the example we have for sale: \u003ca class=\"text-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.waecce.com\/products\/series-1-lemania-hs9-fleet-air-arm-military-chronograph-c-1947?_pos=1\u0026amp;_sid=d776c298c\u0026amp;_ss=r\"\u003ehere\u003c\/a\u003e) and with 15CHT Movements. Around the early 60s the MOD basically gathered all of these Series 1 Chronographs up and redialled them in Black or White with Tritium Lume. This was the case for all Lemania Chronographs at the time.
