The Watch
Baume & Mercier are the 6th oldest Watchmakers company in existence. Founded in 1830 as "Frères Baume," or the Baume brothers. The brothers were Louis-Victor and Célestin who hailed from Les Bois in Switzerland. It wouldn't be called by the name we know today until 1918 when Paul Mercier entered the picture and "Baume & Mercier" was established in Geneva. The Company has changed hands numerous times, with Piaget, Cartier and current owners, the Richemont group, it is in the company of a number of watchmaking legends including IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Officine Panerai and Vacheron Constantin.

Today, it is the Piaget chapter that is interesting to us the most. Under Piaget's guidance from 1964 to 1988, we see their influence very strongly with this unusual Ref.37091. Piaget were well renowned for their use of precious Metals and Stone Dials and here we have both, in a 18k Gold Case, decorated in a rather funky "Bark Effect" and the Dial consisting of a Stone "Tigers Eye". You could say this guy is the epitome of the 80s.

The Baume is all original and in top condition, it is still stickered on the back and I would be extremely surprised if it has been worn more than a handful of times. Comes on the Original Baume & Mercier leather strap with Original Plated Buckle and Hang-Tag.

The Case is in excellent condition and has a sharp original finish.
