Omega first began producing the Constellation line in 1952 and it's still a cornerstone of the modern brand. The Constellation was Omega’s answer to what a technically superior dress wristwatch should be.
.
Today's example is the Ref.168.029 dates to 1968. Featuring a gold capped tonneau or c-shaped case, which came to be a calling card for the Constellation through the late 1960s and '70s. The shape is extremely comfortable and wraps around the wrist very well. The dial here has a linen-like finish, adding an extra layer of dimension to the dial and accentuating the black dial printing as well as the applied details. The look in person is really cool and slightly funky, in a good way. Omega's self-winding caliber 751 is chronometer rated and has a handy quickset date by pulling the crown out, which is always a great feature to have in a watch that begs often and continuous wear.
