Super Vintage WW2 Era Omega Suveran Two Tone Wristwatch.

One of the most sought after WW2 Era Omega Wristwatches. The model was made on demand by Swedish government in the early 1940’s produced by Omega and only to be sold in Sweden. The Swedish government wanted to sell the watch to the Swedish public during WW2 in aim to boost the Swedish economy in order to finance the armed forces as an alternative to war bonds.

Add into the above, that the Suveran's were fitted with the legendary 30t2 movements, it is no surprise that these Watches are so highly sought after.

Dial

Wonderfully patinated vintage all original two tone Omega Dial.

The two tone dial has aged honestly and has developed a cracking patina throughout.
I just love it!

This is the original Untouched Vintage Omega Dial and what a beauty at that.

THIS IS NOT A REDIAL!!!!

Case

Top Quality all Stainless Steel Case.

The Case is in fantastic condition for its age with no real marks to write home about at all bar a few age related scratches, which are barely worth mentioning, in this circa 70 year old timepiece.

The Suveran came with 2 different Caseback markings the most common has “SUVERAN” engraved on the backside while the other has “ANTIMAGNETISK – VATTENTAT – STÖTSKYDDAD“ (antimagnetic – waterproof – shockproof) engraved on the backside. I have also heard that some were unmarked, which this one is, but it may also be that the caseback markings have faded away or been polished away for whatever reason.

Regardless of whatever the reason is behind the absence of the markings on the caseback, this is a top WW2 era Wristwatch and a highly sought after one at that.
Case approx. measures in at:
Diameter: 34.8mm
Diameter with Crown: 37.8mm
End of lug to lug: 42.5mm
Lug Spacing: 18.5mm

This Case was rated Water "proof" back in the Day, it is now a Vintage Timepiece, it has NOT been tested for Water Resistance and if you wish to Submerge this Watch, you will need to have the Watch Professionally Resealed before doing so!!

Hands, Crystal and Crown

Original Hands are in very good order, some slight age related patina to the infill.
New crystal has been fitted as part of the Service.

Signed Omega Crown, I am unsure around this chaps originality.

Strap

On a new 18mm dark grey Eulit Perlon strap, which compliments the Watch very well indeed.

Comes with a free GungaDin Watch Box as pictured.
