Majestic Rare Vintage Marc Nicolet Skin Diver Automatic Wristwatch
.
One of, if not the, most handsome vintage Skin Divers out there.
.
Marc Nicolet is a Brand that is now relatively unknown but in its hey day was a very well respected dive watch manufacturer ,working in conjunction with the likes of Blancpain in several cases.
.
The stand out feature of this Watch is undoubtedly the Black Gloss Dial with those Warm almost honey like Indices and Arrow hands, it is simply wonderful.

Movement
Quality Swiss made ETA 2472 automatic movement with date.
Setting The Watch
With the Crown tight to the case (position one), you can manually wind the Watch in this position. Pull the crown gently out and you will be in position two, setting the time by moving the crown.
This movement features a semi-quickset date feature, more advanced from all other members of the ETA 2400 family apart from the similar hand-wound 2408. The date changes instantly at midnight. To set the date, the time is moved forward from 20:30 to 24:00, then back to 20:30 and forward again.
Please ensure you push the crown back in and gently to the case when finished.
Timekeeping
The Movement is wonderful and Clean whilst ticking away strongly and keeping excellent time.

The Dial is in fantastic condition with no real marks at all.
An absolute stunner !!
Marked T Swiss T for the presence of Tritium.
THIS IS NOT A REDIAL !!!!
Case & Bezel
Top Quality all Stainless Steel Case.
The Case is in fantastic condition for its age with no real marks to write home about at all. Few tiny age related marks but commensurate.
Most importantly, the case has never been polished, the case edges are still sharp.
Markings to the case back still nice and legible.
Bi-Directional Bezel moves nicely in both directions, in good vintage order.
Case approx. measures in at:
Diameter: 36mm
Diameter with Crown: 39.5mm
End of lug to lug: 45.5mm
Lug Spacing: 19mm
This Case was rated 20 atmos Waterproof back in the Day, it is now a Vintage Timepiece, it has NOT been tested for Water Resistance and if you wish to Submerge this Watch, you will need to have the Watch Professionally Resealed before doing so !!
Hands, Crystal and Crown
Original Hands are in very good order, they have been refilled to match the Dial as part of the Service.
Crystal has been lightly polished and is in good order with some very minor age related marks.
Original Signed Marc Nicolet Crown.
Strap
On a new 20mm (which sits nicely) Fuermon Rubber Divers Strap, with Steel buckle that compliments the Watch very well indeed.
