The Watch
The GMT Master was born out of necessity in 1955, when the Pan-Am company needed a watch that could display multiple time zones simultaneously Rolex was able to deliver. Having a watch that kept good time was a must for pilots in those days.
Pan-Am pilots were not the only men in the air wearing these watches, however. NASA, US Air Force pilots and traveling business people all adopted the watch.
.Fast forward to 1983, Rolex renamed the GMT Master as the "GMT Master II" and in 1989 the Iconic ref.16710 was introduced and remained a mainstay of the collection until its discontinuance in 2007.

Beating away inside the 40mm Oyster Case is the iconic 3185 automatic movement, which is regarded as one of the best movements Rolex ever produced. This 3185 was fully serviced by Rolex in October 2022.

The Watch retains its beautiful Pepsi Bezel that is completely original to the Watch and has faded to a beautiful pinky hue. It is also accompanied by its Full Set of boxes and paperwork, booklets, swing tags, bezel protector and service receipts and box.
