The 1960s was a great era for Skin Diving watches, and there were a wealth of designs produced by both major and smaller manufacturers. Benrus was certainly one of the companies that produced several dive models under the name “Ultra Deep” during this period. Amongst the Hugely popular Super Compressor Version, you have the very seldom seen 6502 Reference.

The 6502 boasts a 41mm all Steel "Turtle" Case that wears incredibly comfortably and is bigger than its Twin Crowned Brother. The Dial layout is extremely pleasing to the eye, the Black Dial has a White Crosshair pattern, with "Benrus" and the 3 stars at the top, at the bottom of the Dial you are met by that magical "Ultra Deep" branding.

This is an interesting watch, I've only seen a few other examples of this model.
The case is the same as the popular Bulova Snorkel Dive watches, and very similar to the original Doxa SUB 300.

Getting Acquainted

Bits that stand out:
- Seldom seen Reference.
- Dial is beautifully preserved, pleasing layout and Crosshair pattern.
- Cool Turtle Case.
- Original Cyclops Crystal.

Nitty Gritty:
-Minor Scratches throughout the Case.
- Original Crystal is ever so slightly crazed.
- Small pieces of lint under Crystal.
-Stiff to manually wind.

Overall the Ultra Deep is in Very good honest Vintage condition, the Case has some very minor scratches that are to be expected really with Watches of this Nature.
The Handset is Original and in good condition.

The Dial is in very nice nick, as if you can't tell by now I am a huge fan of this Watch.
Crystal is Original, it has minor crazing and some lint underneath.

Original Unsigned Crown. Due to the case design it can feel a little stiff to manually wind.
