The Watch

.
Launched in 1948 to coincide with the brand’s 100th anniversary, the Omega Seamaster line is the oldest of the collection. The Seamaster was based on waterproof wristwatches made for the British Army at the end of WWII. Reference 2577 was introduced by Omega very shortly after, in 1949, making this guy a very early example of the Iconic Omega Seamaster.
.
This particular Omega Seamaster boasts a wonderfully patinated Fab Suisse Dial. Fab Suisse appeared on French Market Omega's, so this guy started life in France.
.
Beating away inside the imposing 34.5mm Steel Case, is the Omega Calibre 351, which is beautifully clean with a nice reassuring bump.
