The Watch
Launched in 1948 to coincide with the brand’s 100th anniversary, the Omega Seamaster line is the oldest of the collection. The Seamaster was based on waterproof wristwatches made for the British Army at the end of WWII. Reference 14701 was introduced by Omega in 1961. 
This Omega Seamaster one of the most handsome Dials out there, these glossy Black Dials with gilt accents has a huge following in the Vintage World.

Crown: Signed Omega Crown. Possible replacement.
Strap/Bracelet: New 18mm Black Hirsch Rainbow Genuine Leather Strap with Gold Plated buckle.

Getting Acquainted

Bits that stand out:
- Wonderful Black Gilt Dial.
- Handsome as you like!
- Fantastic Swiss made, fully serviced Movement.

Nitty Gritty:
- The Dial is gorgeous, however the 8 baton has been off at some point and has an old repair.
-Manual Wind is a little stiff.

Overall the Seamaster is in nice Vintage condition.
The Dial is in lovely condition, there is an old repair to the 8 baton.
Steel Case is in very good nick.
Caseback markings are very nice.
The Crown is signed Omega, however it is possible that it is an old replacement.
Crystal in good shape.
Hands are in lovely shape.
