Zenith was founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot and is one of the oldest continuously operating watchmakers. Favre-Jacot invented the concept of "in house movements", believing that only through control of the entire watchmaking process could the highest quality be achieved.
While many watch brands have faded into obscurity over the years, Zenith remains a presence in the industry, standing tall even today, which is a real testament to the quality they have produced over their 159 year existence.
.
This celebration designed dress watch represents the epitome of the period for the brand. The standout feature of this watch undoubtedly lies in its design. The 36mm case with its prominent bezel to the small dial and the cutout for the date window, earning it the nickname "Keyhole." It is powered by a quality Caliber 2542 PC Automatic Movement.
.
When we find a Keyhole these days many have had the dial repainted and have lost the pattern that extends from the calendar and adds to the "keyhole look". The dial on this is beautiful and has aged a wonderful Golden colour.
