The Watch
Now, you would be forgiven for thinking this is your standard CWC W10, face up it certainly is but turn it over and some mythical markings appear, that will make you look twice before actually registering that the "W" and the "1" are missing from their normal positions on the NSN.

Why are you seeing just an "o" rather than your usual "W10"? This is because the "o" denotes Oman and this Watch was issued to a British Soldier serving in the Sultan of Oman's Land Forces.

It is estimated only 150 of these Watches were issued in 1980 and this particular example is the earliest issue number for 1980 known (103/80).
